Bobby Gill Racing

Bobby Gill, four-time Champion of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, comes from a racing background. Although Bobby did not start racing himself until age 24, his father Billy Gill was a track champion, racing late models at Golden Gate, St. Pete, and New Smryna in Florida. By the time dad Billy had stopped racing in 1976, Bobby had the racing bug. Starting out in 1983 in super street stocks at Desoto Speedway in Bradenton, Florida, Bobby quickly advanced to Bob Harmon's All Pro Series in 1986, running a super late model Chevrolet for Paul Hostettler of Vinyl Tech. His first year out, Bobby captured not only Rookie of the Year title, but finished fifth in series points.

Bobby continued to run the All Pro Series, finishing second in series points the next two years, then moved to a different venture, NASCAR Craftsman Trucks. After six months, he was the leading rookie, showing tenth in overall points. That same year, Bobby moved to the newly formed Hooters Late Model Series, where he secured the Series Championship in a Terminal Trucking entry. After a brief season in the Southern All Stars Series during the 1998 season, Bobby moved back to Hooters Pro Cup racing in 1999.

Scoring five victories in 1999, Bobby took home the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Champion's trophy. In 2000, he added a second trophy to his collection after six wins put him in the Pro Cup Champion's seat for the second year. Never satisfied, Bobby one again took the top honors in 2001 with seven trips to Victory Lane and a third Hooters Pro Cup Championship. 2002 saw Bobby Gill win a record setting 14 races on USAR sanctioned tracks but bad luck in the Championship series relegated Bobby to second place in series points.

Gill, recently proved he still has the skills required to win when he secured his fourth Hooters Pro Cup Championship in 2007 Gill holds the Series record with 46 wins also owns several other series records.
